1. A copy of a crime report or accident report may be obtained by contacting the Radcliff Police Department, Records Section. The fee is .10 per page.  Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 08:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m.

2. A police report may be filed in person by contacting the Radcliff Police Department. The department will respond to any location within the city limits.

3. You can find out what a traffic citation costs  by contacting the Hardin County District Court. If the citation  was  issued by the Radcliff Police Department you may contact the Radcliff Office.  Payments will only be accepted in the jurisdiction where the violation (s) occurred. The Radcliff Police Department will not accept payments.

4.              The Radcliff Police Department does not have a Ride Along Program.

5. The following requirements are necessary to become a Radcliff Police Officer:

 

                 *               United States citizen

                 *               Must be 21 years of age by hire date

                 *               Possess a valid drivers license

                 *               High School Diploma or equivalent

                 *               Cannot have been dishonorably discharged from the military

                 *               No felony convictions

                 *               No misdemeanor convictions involving domestic violence

                 *               Be able to read, write and speak the English language.

 

                 An application may be obtained in person at Radcliff City Hall, 411 West Lincoln Trail Boulevard, Radcliff, Kentucky                  40160 or on the city website site (www.radcliff.org) . Completed applications must be turned in at City Hall.

6.              If you observe a violation of law, including speeding, you can contact the police department and provide the dispatcher                  with a vehicle description and direction of travel. If the officer observes the violation and  he may issue a citation. You                  may also request that the “speed trailer” be scheduled on your street.

7.              In order to compliment or complain on a Radcliff Police Department employee, you may contact City Hall or the                  Radcliff Police Department in person, by phone or written correspondence. Formal complaints are required to be made                  in person at City Hall.

8.              A missing person should be immediately reported to the Radcliff Police Department.

9. Kentucky Revised Statute (K.R.S.) 186.010 defines a moped as either a motorized bicycle whose frame design may include one (1) or more horizontal crossbars supporting a fuel tank so long as it also has pedals, or a motorized bicycle with a step-through type frame which may or may not have pedals rated no more than two (2) brake horsepower, a cylinder capacity not exceeding fifty (50) cubic centimeters, an automatic transmission not requiring clutching or shifting by the operator after the drive system is engaged, and capable of a maximum speed of not more than thirty (30) miles per hour.

 

                

 

10.            You may report any information and remain anonymous. Simply call the police department and provide criminal                  activity and then request to remain anonymous.

11.            Certain states grant automatic extension, while others do not. Please contact the Radcliff Division of the Circuit Court                  Clerk’s Office at (270) 351-4799 for information concerning your state.

12.            The Radcliff Police Department will conduct background checks and fingerprints. The cost is $4.00 for fingerprinting                  and $4.00 for background checks. Background checks are only conducted with the permission of the person being                  checked and are limited to background reported to the Radcliff Police Department.

13.            The Radcliff Police Department will conduct Home Security Checks while you are on vacation. A request for Home                  Security Checks form must be completed and signed in person at the Radcliff Police Department.

14.            The Radcliff Police Department responds to every alarm call within the city limits. The first three (3) alarm responses                  within a calendar year are free. The fourth alarm response is $10.00 and every alarm thereafter within one calendar                  year (January-December) is $25.00 each run.

16.            To obtain information on the Radcliff Police Department Block Watch Program, please contact Officer Bryce Shumate,                  Public Information Officer, at (270) 351-4714.

17.            The Radcliff Police Department will release any found property to the lawful owner upon proof of ownership. Please                  call Mr.   Tony Tibke, Evidence/Property Custodian to schedule an appointment. Property which is being held as                  evidence will not be released until the court case is disposed of or a court order is obtained. Please contact the                  Evidence/Property Custodian for further information.

18.            Donations for Shop With A Cop should be made either to the to the Radcliff Police Department or Fraternal Order                  Police (F.O.P.) Lodge #39. For further information, please contact Officer Bryce Shumate/Public Information Officer                  at (270) 351-4714.

19.            The Radcliff Police Department may make referrals to the Hardin County Attorney’s Office on offenses not occurring                  in the officer’s presence. The Kentucky Revised Statutes (K.R.S.) determine which offenses the officers may make                  immediate arrests or obtain a warrant. In the event a referral is made by the police department, a Calls For Service                  Report number or Case Number is generated.
