The Patrol Division provides twenty-four hour service to the citizens of Radcliff. There are three shifts. Day Shift is 7:00a.m.—5:00p.m., Mid Shift is 4:00p.m.-2:00a.m., and Late Watch is 9:00p.m.-7:00a.m. Officers work four on and three off. As First Responders, Officers responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

1.              Answering calls for service and general public assistance, providing the necessary aid and recording the information pertinent to the incident.

2. Complete area coverage and performance of tasks to accomplish this department’s objectives.

3. The preliminary investigation of all cases, including the protection of evidence and effecting arrests.

4. Enforcement of all traffic laws, regulations of traffic flow and investigation of all accidents.

5. Selective traffic enforcement and visible patrol.

6. Inspection and premise checks for business, industrial and governmental buildings.

7. Identifying hazards and reporting them to the proper department component for corrective action.
