The regular  meeting of the Radcliff City Council was convened at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2007.   Mayor Sheila Enyart presided.

 

Radcliff City Council members and staff present were as follows:

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, and the invocation was given by Pastor Art Leach of the Radcliff United Methodist Church.

 

A motion was made by Councilman Holmes and seconded by Councilman Yates to adopt the minutes of the meetings of January 16 and February 12, 2007.  Voice Vote - All in Favor - Motion Carried

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

The Radcliff Planning Commission re-looked at the item of Off-Street Parking Standards that the City Council had sent back to them, with particular regards to the parallel parking measurements.  A motion was made by Councilman Angus and seconded by Councilman Shaw to accept the Radcliff Planning Commission’s recommendation to amend Article XI, 11.6 Parking Space Dimensions and 11.13 Handicap Parking stating that each parking space must be a minimum of 18 feet in length and that parallel parking spaces remain at a minimum of 22 feet in length.  Voice Vote - All in Favor, except Councilman Duvall who voted nay - Motion Carried

 

Councilman Angus introduced the first reading of An Ordinance Amending the Zoning Ordinance and Development Regulations for the City of Radcliff, Article XI “Off-Street Parking Standards”.  City Attorney Michael Pike gave the first reading.

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

A motion was made by Councilman Angus and seconded by Councilman Yates to accept the Mayor’s recommendation and re-appoint Ms. Berlie Little to the Housing Authority of Radcliff for a four year term beginning March 23, 2007 and ending March 22, 2011.  Voice Vote - All in Favor - Motion Carried

 

 


A motion was made by Councilman Shaw and seconded by Councilman Holmes to accept the Mayor’s recommendation and appoint Mr. Carl Millsap to the Radcliff Planning Commission to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Billy Elbert, effective immediately and ending June 30, 2007.  (Mr. Elbert has submitted his resignation from the Planning Commission due to this relocation to El Paso, Texas).  Voice Vote - All in Favor - Motion Carried

 

A motion was made by Councilman Yates and seconded by Councilman Angus to approve up to $38,000.00, to be expended in the FY 07-08 budget, for new quality color aerial photos of the City of Radcliff and to upgrade our topography maps.  (These photos and topography will be used in the GIS mapping system).  Voice Vote - All in Favor - Motion Carried

 

There were no items to discuss in Closed Session.

 

MAYOR/COUNCIL COMMENTS:

 

Radcliff Town Meeting will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Radcliff City Hall.

 

The next Council Work Session is scheduled for March 12, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with a Called Council meeting as needed.
