Building Department

The City of Radcliff has recognized the need for modern, up-to-date commercial and residential construction and adopted all current Kentucky Building Code’s and the International Property Maintenance Code. All codes are designed to meet the needs through minimum model code regulations to ensure the public safety, health and welfare insofar as they are affected by building construction and to secure safety to life and property.

The Building Department is responsible for commercial and residential construction, storm water inspections and commercial property maintenance inspections. The code enforcement section enforces all city ordinances, residential property maintenance and sign inspections.

Our department consists of two commercial inspectors, one residential inspector, one code enforcement officer, one electrical inspector and a permits clerk. All building department personnel are cross trained to streamline the permit process and insure timely inspections upon request.
